He is promoting efforts to address various issues, including regional revitalization and the provision of legal services, response to large-scale disasters, the amendment of the retrial law, the realization of a selective separate surname system for married couples, the creation of a multicultural convivial society, and the abolition of the death penalty.

Graduate of the Faculty of Law, Department of Law, Keio University. Admitted to the Bar in Japan and joined Abe, Ikubo & Katayama in 1998. In 2001, he worked at the Intellectual Property Policy Office of the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry as Deputy Director under the Act on Officials with Fixed Term of Office. From 2002 to 2004, after completing an LL.M. at the University of Pennsylvania Law School, he worked as a visiting researcher at the Max Planck Institute for Intellectual Property. Passed the New York Bar Exam in 2003 (Admitted to the New York Bar in 2003). His academic appointments include adjunct instructor at the Faculty of Science and Technology, Keio University (2007–2018), adjunct instructor at the Graduate School of Law, Hitotsubashi University (since 2013), and visiting professor at the Graduate School of Law, Kobe University (2016–2025). He also served as Chairperson of the Intellectual Property Center of the Japan Federation of Bar Associations (2021–2022) and has been a Board Member of the Intellectual Property Lawyers Network Japan since 2025.
His practice focuses on intellectual property litigation and contractual matters involving patents, copyrights, trademarks, and unfair competition law. Leveraging his qualification as a New York Bar member and his experience studying in the U.S. and working in Europe, he also provides advice and guidance on international dispute matters across various fields.
